I Tennis Foundation: project Tennis – Forte Village venue

I Tennis Foundation in an association founded in 2018 by Simone Bongiovanni, a lawyer with a passion for tennis and young talents, chose the Forte Village, an award-winning resort surrounded by the beautiful sea of Sardinia, to create the Academy I Tennis Campus.

The I Tennis Foundation is an Italian charity that operates internationally founded by a group of professionals, managers and practitioners from the medical-Sports-educational world to provide children from disadvantaged geopolitical, economic and social contexts with sports and school preparation.

The mission of I Tennis Campus is to welcome the best Italian and European talents belonging to less well-off families to educate, train and support them in university, work and professional tennis.
Through the Little Tennis Champion scholarship program, the organization I Tennis Foundation awards 20 scholarships to finance the educational and tennis training of the most deserving children. The selection of young people takes place through a call submitted both in Italy and in countries with a lower per capita income in Europe.
The non-profit Academy of tennis is a new model of school with an exclusively humanitarian purpose, an innovative lab inspired by the principles of solidarity and meritocracy and consists of only scholarship holders who with will, grit and spirit of sacrifice, fight to stand out on the tennis field.
At the end of the four years of high school, 8 students are selected during an internal tennis competition, (4 boys and 4 girls) who will be launched into a professional career in the circuits ITF, ATP, WTA. In synergy with its sponsors, the Tennis Foundation finances the path of the 8 students accompanied by a support team to allow them to participate in international competitions and climb the world rankings.
After the first phase, exclusively European, the format will be replicated internationally and includes three more cycles in Africa, Asia and America. Each course lasts 4 years and will allow young talents to access tennis and professional circuits with full-coverage scholarships.

The Tennis Foundation: the campus at the Forte Village Resort
The Academy I Tennis Campus is in a completely renovated area within the Forte Village Resort of Santa Margherita di Pula, in the province of Cagliari, where the kids will attend high school and tennis activities.
Forte Village, which over one year hosts 30 international ITF tennis tournaments for men and women, is the perfect location for the young tennis players and their support staff: here the scholarship holders can practice various preparatory sports, such as football, swimming, basketball, athletics, as well as enjoying some well-deserved rest on the beautiful white sandy beaches that surround the resort. Also, the South of Sardinia offers ideal climatic conditions for outdoor sports even in winter.
During the I Tennis Campus, they will attend the International High School as part of the four-year Little Tennis Champions scholarship program. The school program is compatible with training and is entrusted to the ES – Emilio Sanchez International School, specializing in children who combine their education with tennis.

ESIS guides parents and young people through the various stages of access to the best American universities, such as Harvard, Berkeley, Columbia and offers children the opportunity to deal with cultures other than their own through interaction with classmates and teachers.
The technical direction of the Academy is assigned to the Academy Sanchez-Casal, who cooperate with the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT) and other coaches that support the Tennis Foundation. Founded in 1999 by Emilio Sanchez and Sergio Casal, champions of the past and among the greatest coaches of the present, the ASC Academy is a high-performance training centre that has 4 locations in the world and today is one of the most prestigious tennis schools that hosts players ATP and WTA.
The Academy of I Tennis Foundation will open its doors to the best Italian tennis players with the Summer Master Little Tennis Champions 2021, a work program within the I Tennis Campus for 20 talented Italian children, born in 2008, from less well-off families.
The Summer Master 2021 is a premiere of the international scholarship program Little Tennis Champions 2022-2026, a sport and school course of 4 years that guarantees children to follow a long-term training plan to gain access to a professional career.
