Tiziano Ferro, a short biography
Born in Latina on February 21st, 1980, Tiziano began from a very young age to compose his first songs, with simple means, recording thanks to a tape recorder.
His passion for music accompanies and supports him even during the difficult years of adolescence when he begins to attend private courses in piano, classical guitar, drums and singing.
After the experiences with the Gospel Choir of “Latina Big Soul Mama Gospel Choir” and the piano bar performances in various clubs with his rap group Q4, in 1997 he enrolled at the Sanremo Song Academy bringing the song “Quando ritornerai”: discarded at the first selections, he reappeared in 1998 and managed to arrive among the 12 finalists.
In the same period, he graduated from the Liceo Scientifico Ettore Majorana in Latina and the album “Anima e corpo” by ATP was published, which contains the song “Scritto sulla mia pelle” of which he is a co-author.
The doors of success opened in 2001 when, after some rejections from record labels, the producers Alberto Salerno and Mara Maionchi, that he met during the second participation in the Sanremo Song Academy, convinced EMI to bet on him.
On June 22nd, 2001 the first single “Xdono” was released, which reached the top of the European charts and became part of the studio album “Rosso relativo”, out on October 26th of the same year, promoted by the singles “L’olimpiade”, “Imbranato”, “Rosso relativo”, “Le cose che non dici”.
Between January 2002 and March 2003 the first tour “Rosso relativo Tour 2002/03” starts and then, in the following years, numerous collaborations with Italian and international artists, duets, participations in the Festivalbar and the Sanremo Festival with Zarrillo and then as a regular guest, new albums up to the eighth on November 11th, 2022 and the return, after six years, in the stadiums with the 15 dates of the “TZN 2023” tour.
From May 5th is also available for radio programming and digital stores “DESTINAZIONE MARE”, the new unreleased single of the artist, was born from the collaboration with ITACA, the production company founded by Merk & Kremont along with Eugenio Maimone and Leonardo Grillotti, published by Virgin Records / Universal Music Italia.
